Farirai Rusukira brings her passion for the education of the girl child, to increase opportunities for training to promote self-sufficiency for women to combat poverty. She draws her inspiration from working with children as part of community outreach programs in Zimbabwe which show the vulnerability that comes from being raised in poverty and not having opportunities for education.
She is a qualified Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Tennessee and a South African qualified Chartered Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Accounting from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe and an Accounting Science Honors degree from the University of South Africa. She has experience in both private and public accounting which spans over various sectors including financial services, retail, manufacturing, technology as well as the non-profit sector. She worked for BDO, the fifth largest accounting firm worldwide, for a 10 years . Prior to this, she was with the Platinum Group, a premium retail chain based in Cape Town, South Africa for a year. She completed her one-year internship with Delta Beverages, one of the largest public companies in Zimbabwe. In her free time, Farirai loves hiking, traveling, and chasing after adventure with her husband and two children
